Aren't these wonderful? Special thanks to each of you for submitting them. They'll be featured on my blog in the future.

  1. THANK YOU Suko! What a great surprise! Its fun to give and fun to receive too!

  2. Oh! I was so excited I forgot to say that I like your hat "bowl" and that was a fun way to get some good quotes!

  3. Martha, again, congratulations! Enjoy your gift card! Pictured are the actual entries in a hat.

Thank you, Bermudaonion and ds for stopping by!

  4. Oops my quotes are not so bookish, aren't they? But hope you like them anyway. I always love good quotes! :)

  5. Mee, I asked for quotes from books or authors, so your quotes are fine. Thanks for taking the time to think of not one but two quotes! Mitch Albom is a great writer (stay tuned for an upcoming review of his new book) and I enjoyed the Geisha movie.

Should I change the word "bookish"? You're right, not all of these are bookish in a technical sense. But I like how it sounds here :)

  6. Congrats Martha :)

And those quotes are wonderful :)
But I really smiled at this one - "Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend; inside a dog is too dark to read."
